Illustrated here is an interesting early 18th century religious versed clock  by Henry Sheppard of Wigton. The dial centre is deeply engraved with the religious verse ' Remember man that Die thou must' 'And after that to judgement just' This is the only known religious versed example by this maker who signed his name on the chapter ring Henry Sheppard, Wigton Fecit.
