  hown here is a very rare 17th century lantern clock case which has the first owners initials carved/stamped to the base/plinth. The coffin type case is of pegged oak and was probably made sometime between c1675-1695. The case which is in a very original condition is a rare surviver since very few genuine lantern clock cases exist today.
